Accessibility Statement for FAMP-IT Family

This is an accessibility statement from FAMP-IT Family. 

Measures to support accessibility 

FAMP-IT Family takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of the FAMP-IT Family website: 

  • Include accessibility as part of our mission statement. 
  • Appoint an accessibility officer and/or ombudsperson. 
  • Consult with accessibility professionals on how to be better for all people visiting our websites. 

Conformance status 

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. FAMP-IT Family is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

  • Our website should be compatible with all popular browsers within the last 2 major upgrades. Operating systems need to be within the last 2 major upgrades on a Mac or PC (desktop or mobile). Other operating systems are not specifically supported.

Accessibility of FAMP-IT Family relies on the following technologies to work with the combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • WAI-ARIA 
  • JavaScript 

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used. 

Limitations and alternatives 

Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of the FAMP-IT Family website, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below. 

Known limitations for FAMP-IT Family: 

  1. Overall website experience: We do not see an issue with our limited testing capabilities. We want you to reach out to us if you find any issues. We use Kadence WordPress theme because it’s considered one of the most ADA compliant Gutenberg friendly themes. There are places where we may have missed a code or issue because of lack of complete testing capacity. Please reach out to us immediately and let us know the problem you are having. We will do our best to get it fixed in addition to getting you the content you seek as soon as possible.
